Resist ~Poem~

The weary road flaunts man’s desire
Enkindle light or burn the pyre
To reinforce the doom within
To baptize in our father’s sin

Pressure builds to stay the course
Walls laced in hate, taint, greed, remorse
Crippled by the hand that feeds
Muddled eyes gouged blind through creed

Palpate the heart enshrined in mist
Of doubt
Of fear
Of no assist
Though dire straights shalt bend, shalt twist
Keep to your path
So thus
Resist
